This year is the 10th anniversary of the "One Belt, One Road" Initiative, and the construction of the "One Belt, One Road" has achieved fruitful results in the past ten years. Logistics is the foundation for the successful implementation of "One Belt, One Road", and the China-Europa liner train is a microcosm of the development of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. National Development and Reform Commission released statistics show that over the past 10 years, China-EU liner has accumulated 77,000 columns, transported 7.31 million TEUs of goods, the value of goods exceeded 340 billion U.S. dollars, access to 217 cities in 25 European countries, and has become an important bridge for international economic and trade cooperation.
Against this background, "2023 Iron and Water Forum and Cross-border Transportation Forum", jointly organized by Shenzhen Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association and Neptune Logistics Group, was held on September 22nd in Guihua Hall on the 6th floor of Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.
Miss. Zheng Yanling, Secretary General of Shenzhen Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association, made an opening speech for this Iron and Water Forum: "The China-EU shuttle train has made a lot of impossibilities become realities, which makes mountains and oceans embrace each other, connects the land and sea, and makes iron and water warmly welcome, and makes the cross-border as a straight road. Of course we have faced many challenges, but it is this that gives us an infinite sense of fulfillment as we cross one challenge after another." She said that the construction of the Belt and Road is a systematic project that cannot be separated from the joint efforts of all countries. We look forward to making new contributions to the development of cross-border trade by working together in the future.
The morning session of the forum also included an expert discussion session. Focusing on the challenges and breakthroughs faced by the China-Europe liner, the changes and impacts brought by the turbulence of the international situation on the operation pattern of international liner, and the construction and optimization of the multimodal transport network, Song Haowen, Deputy General Manager of Sinotrans Shenzhen International Logistics Company Limited, Frank Xurcai, General Manager of DB Schenker International Freight Forwarding (Shanghai) Company Limited, and Zhu Luzhi, Chairman and General Manager of Neptune Logistics Group, gave presentations, Mr. Gennady Bessonov, Secretary General of CCTT Trans-Eurasian Transportation Coordination Committee, Mr. Inik Gioffi, Eurasian Manager of Austrian Railway Freight Group Global Division, Mr. Savut Sainibayev, Deputy Secretary General of TITR, Mr. Andrei Sledkevich, President of Belarusian State Railways, and Mr. Dan Chieh, Former Executive Director and General Manager of YUXINOEU (Chongqing) Logistics Co. together with Qidan, former Executive Director of YuXinOu (Chongqing) Logistics Co.
In the back-and-forth Q&A and friendly exchanges, it is believed to bring new insights to the development and operation of China-EU shuttle trains in the future.
